What is dry van?

Dry van is a type of cargo transportation trailer that is completely enclosed and designed to transport dry goods such as packaged food items, electronics, clothing, and other non-perishable items. It is also commonly referred to as a box trailer.

The dry van trailer may come in different sizes ranging from 28 to 53 feet in length, and has a standard width of 8 feet and a height of 8.5 feet. The trailer is typically made of aluminum or steel and has a single or double axle with air brake systems, suspension, and a liftgate that helps in loading and unloading of cargo.

Dry van transportation is ideal for goods that do not require any special refrigeration or temperature control during transit. It is one of the most commonly used methods of transportation in the logistics industry and can easily transport cargo between different locations, from warehouses to retail stores or directly to customers.
